Christmas songs

The four year olds and the second level students have to sing a Christmas song in English.
We are practising it as much as we can.
If you want to practise at home, watch the following videos:

      Preschool:    Jingle Bells

2nd of Primary: Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer

Hello Bertie! Hello Mr. Orange!

Bertie, Bertie,
Where are you?
Bertie, Bertie,
Where are you?
Here I am! Here I am!
How are you?

Hello everyone! These are Bertie Bear and Mr. Orange, the other English teachers. They help us learn English every day. Moreover, we have some volunteers who are the English teachers too. That day it was Kile's and Anastasia's turn.

We went to Palma Aquarium!

Last Thursday we went to the Aquarium by coach and saw lots of fish. We learned many things!
The children put some gloves on and cut some fish, prawns and squid to feed some fish of a tank. It was very exciting!

10 big dinosaurs, dance dance dance!

The first level pupils are studying the numbers from 1 to 10 and the parts of the body of a dinosaur.
We practised the vocabulary of the unit, listened to a story called "Where is my baby?" and described a dinosaur.

Now watch the following video of some girls and boys singing and dancing a song: "10 Big Dinosaurs".

Colourful toys!

At Infant Education we are studying vocabulary about toys and we are also revising colours.

We sing a song that says:

"What is red? What is red?
Can you see? Can you see?
I can see a scooter. I can see a scooter.
Point with me. Point with me."

The same with a pink dolly, a yellow teddy, a green car, a blue train and a purple ball. We also say what our favourite toy is.

Doing Halloween decorations

The first cycle children coloured a Halloween pumpkin and cut it out to decorate the school for Halloween. We are going to stick them on the walls.

The five-year-olds also coloured a little pumpkin!

Halloween vocabulary and songs

We are singing a Halloween song for the festival and learning some vocabulary.

Before doing the Halloween activities, we start the class with the routines: saying "hello", "How are you?" and talking about the weather.

The first level pupils practised their Halloween song in class. It is called: "Trick or treat, monster!"
The second level students had fun putting on monster masks, pumpkins masks and witch hats! They looked so scary!

We also learned the written vocabulary of Halloween.

Halloween is coming!

We like English!

Since we started the classes up to now, the children have learned and revised lots of things.
They have an active role in class, their participation is strongly important and my objective is to communicate in English in such a natural way.

The methodology is based on songs and chants, short dialogues, TPR games, videos, stories, the digital board and flashcards. The primary students also practise the written language a little bit.

The three year olds haved learned how to say "hello", "I'm happy", "It's sunny!", "sit down/stand up", "Bye-bye" and other expressions. They have also learned numbers from 1 to 3.

The four-year-old pupils began to learn English last year. We keep on working!

The five year olds are very good at English but very excited in the classroom!

With the first cycle students, in every class there is a volunteer who does the routines: saying hello, how are you?, the weather and the calendar, and introducing the next activity.
